We Are BlightMass
BlightMass is a Blackened Death Metal band forged between Tampa (USA) and Lyon (France), blending the ferocity of Old School Floridian and Swedish Death Metal with the darkness of Black Metal.
Their debut album Severed From Your Soul (2019) made a strong impact, featuring prestigious guests like Ralph Santola (ex-Death, Deicide, Obituary) and Olivier Gabriel (ex-Benighted). Following a relentless tour, the band captured its raw energy on the live album Blight of the Living (2020).
In 2021, BlightMass returned with Harbinger of Lucidity (Grave Embrace Records), solidifying their sonic identity. The vinyl editions of both albums were released in 2022, and the live album issued in 2023. Most recently, they collaborated with Gene Palubicki (ex-Angelcorpse) on the single Face in the Flames, distributed by Season of Mist.
BlightMass continues its unholy crusade, delivering uncompromising performances where chaos and intensity reign supreme. The band is currently in the studio recording their third full-length album, entitled Blessings Reversed & Miracles Denied.
